Audit Analytics has released its Going Concern research which analyzed audit opinions for fiscal years 2000 through 2010.

Highlights from the report include:

• Going concern qualifications peaked in 2007 at 3,300 and have gone down each year since.
• The drop since 2007 can be attributed to the number of companies that filed a going concern qualification and subsequently terminated their SEC registration.
• 637 new going concerns are expected to be filed in fiscal year 2010, a decrease of 119 from 2009.
