Audit Analytics has released its eight-year analysis of trends in audit and non-audit fees paid by accelerated filers.

Highlights from the report include:

• There was a slight uptick in audit and non-audit fees as a percentage of revenue, but it was due to a decrease in revenue rather than an increase in fees.
• Although non-audit fees as a percentage of total fees dropped slightly in 2009, non-audit fees have leveled off near 20% since 2006.
• In recent years, total audit fees for accelerated filers have trended downward, despite the increase in the number of companies required to comply with SOX 404.
