Mark Cheffers, CEO of Audit Analytics, will be giving a presentation at the 21st Annual ALI-ABA Conference on Accountants' Liability.

On Thursday, July 9th, Mr. Cheffers will be discussing the liability exposure experienced by the accounting and auditing industry. The presentation will include data concerning malpractice litigation and settlements, including information regarding Credit Crisis lawsuits and Madoff/Ponzi scheme cases. In addition, the status of public companies will be reviewed using data concerning Restatement and Going Concern trends. Liability exposure will be discussed, noting how a review of SEC Comment Letters reveals an environment of audit complexity and differing accounting standards that must be addressed by the accounting industry in its day-to-day practice.
